That is correct. It's considered a unique Mille Fluer. Why is it unique? No clue.

Thank you. It's my son's chicken and she has one of the best disposition of any chicken I've met. Very sweet, loves shoulder rides, and looks like a roadrunner when she runs. Long thick legs let her just zoom around.

Sweet! I'm afraid to have Bantams here because we don't have a covered run and let our chickens free range several hours a day. I'm afraid they'd be hawk bait and I'd be devastated! So I enjoy them vicariously when people post pics of them here .

Thank you! Icelandics are nice looking birds. Hadn't heard of them till you mentioned..just checked them out.."Hooded" is a term i came up reading this about greek chicken breeds..I thought it was a common term, sorry for the inconvinience.

It mentions "hooded katsouliara chickens", a greek breed tha reminds me of alsteirer/styrian chickens.
