Does the playground sand have silica in it this can be very harmful to chickens. The small pebbles in the dirt will probably be enough. Keep us updated and ask me if you have any more questions!
a few days. I will check on it. thanks for all your help.How long has it been in the coop. I would research the kind of playground sand it was and see on the thin if it has silica in it. If it does then I would go to lowes and get construction or hardware sand with no silica in it and some small pebbles.or you can even put some filler dirt and put it in there.
well I was hoping it was because I was spoiling her rotten with organic laying feed, and chicken scratch that I bought her and lots of fresh corn on the cob, and fruit and vegetables but I'm still happy if it's just because she isn't stressed anymore.It might just of been that she was stressed
