Hello!

I have 4 chickens that are over a year old. They have been laying beautifully for the past 8 months or so. From the very beginning they were laying good sized eggs. I never had any small eggs, broken eggs, or anything.

This week I have gotten 2 small eggs. They are both around an inch.

We changed their food about a month ago. Could this have caused the problem?

Is this normal or is there something I need to do?

It may be a result of the feed change or they may be coming to the end of a laying cycle followed by a molt, a rest, and then the resumption of egg laying. Did you upgrade the quality of feed that you are feeding?
