Could you get the meds and such at a feed store, or does this hatchery exclusively sell it?

Well if you do decide to order chicks online look at your weather forecast and the hatchery. So you can gauge what the weather will be like when they ship it out. Good luck if you do it.

You do not need to purchase vitamin and gro-gel packs for each bird. I often only use one packet of gro-gel for an entire batch of 30 chicks. After the initial rehydration the birds really do not need any extra help as long as you have them on a nutritious diet, clean water, and under heat. If your birds arrive sick, that's a different story but also something that needs to be brought up to the hatchery.

Heh it's like they don't even know. I'd skip that for sure. If you want to give any vitamins, electrolytes, etc. you can always buy it locally instead.
