You can get nutri-drench or sav a chick separately. Skip the vital pack.

You don't really need the Vital Pack or the Grogel.

At most, maybe 1 pack of the Grogel to use right after they arrive, and none of the Vital Pack.

When the Vital Pack description says it is "essential": they are just plain lying.

Chicks do just fine with plain water plus a complete chick starter. Chick starter is designed to have all the vitamins they need.

Some people like to give vitamin supplements, some don't, and they don't appear to do much good or harm in most cases. I'm one who skips them.

You might want them to ship with the grogel since there's so few chicks, but you can get the vital pack/electrolytes at the feed store and have it ready when/if you decide to use it.

I also would skip the vital pack and MAYBE get just one grogel.

I can't select a specific delivery date for Meyer Hatchery. I just get stuck with:

Can you split an order with a friend? Sell extras on craigslist? Put a ad on the bulletin board at the feed stores to sell extras?

Maybe wait til spring to order?
