Small red bump

There’s a small red bump that I seen on one of my black copper marans. I’m not sure what it it or what to do any help would be appreciated! It seems to be tender to touch?

That's her preen or oil gland. It's been irritated by the other birds pecking at it/her.

I hope it goes away as it’s my only rooster out of the batch

It's a normal part of his anatomy. He needs to be protected from the pecking.

It won't go away, they need that to groom themselves ... Maybe some Blu Kote to cover up the red, it would help keep the others from pecking it hence irritating his gland.

Wouldn’t blue kote block the oil gland? I put a chicken saddle on one of mine when they were having the same problem. Though obviously this little one would need a custom sized.
