I have two Red Leghorns, both the same age (about 2 1/2 - 3 months old). One is significantly smaller than the other. In fact, she's the smallest bird out of 16 birds of the same age. I've never raised chickens before and was wondering if she'll grow to normal size, lay normal sized eggs, etc.

I guess that's possible, but they sold her to me as a regular Red Leghorn just like the other.

red leghorns tend to be small-they are leghorns and none are big..you can have all the same breed and hatched the same day but like kids all won't be the same size..She may take off right before pol and double in size-she's still real young.Red leghorns don't lay a very big egg most of the time it weighs in as a medium-we weigh every egg here. I don't have any idea what the definition of normal is

she will lay a "normal" size egg for a red leghorn I'm sure.
