Our girls are smart enough to know that they're not allowed in the plants around our little pond or up on the deck...they usually respond to "Get outta there" or "Get back on the lawn" in a warning tone.
If they get stubborn and don't respond fast enough, they will scurry back to the lawn if one of us merely picks up the hose!! They've never even been sprayed, but we have sprayed at them from the deck chairs! When safely out of reach of the hose (they think), they slow down to a saunter as if to say..."Hey, no worries....we were just LOOKIN"
grumbling as they throw a stinkeye or two over their shoulders. We have to keep them off the deck because they are so completely spoiled they will be up on the table and in your chips & salsa in about a hot second.
