Usually the apps have their own icons. Yes they will probably connect you to the net, they were designed to use the net. I know I nave some really cool apps from Google. There are tons out there and from what I see a lot of them are free. What kind of phone do you have? Maybe I can help point you in the right direction.
Depends on what company you have for where you get the internet. I do know they get better signals than most basic cheapie phones. My Droid is my favorite one. I had a blackberry storm and it blew out two ear speakers. Thing is that the ear speakers only are used for an earpeice. The phone sound was another speaker altogether. I suggest Droid. Been seeing the commercials for the droid incredible and I have that phone. Do I like it? Yes it is an awesome phone. I even have an app called google sky which shows where planets are along with constellations. All you have to do is point your phone somewhere and you will see wht is in that direction. I pay standard monthly service, then the internet I think is either 20 or 30 dollars a month. Thing is I can also and do use my phone to connect my personal computer to the net. Not sure if you have heard of MIFI? Anyway I had that and did away Qiu it when I got this phone. It does the same thing. It can set up a hotspot for up to 5 computers within range. Where I live other than paying even more for Hughes net it is the best I can get. Our phone lines are too slow to be a reliable internet connection.

Same here.probably more. Takes me longer to post on it though as I type faster with my whole hands as opposed to the two thumb typing I am doing currently.
