Smells ... and do people think your weird for enjoying the smell ?

I like the smell of diesel exhaust and freshly dug soil. It has to be in the right mix though, very little exhaust and moist topsoil, not clay. It reminds me of when I was very little, three of so, and we were having the property landscaped and the foundation for the house dug. I would just sit where ever I could and just watch our neighbor on his highlift digging in the dirt, man I loved just watching him. I think that is where my love of running heavy equipment comes from.
I know the wife likes gasoline, I can't stand the smell.
The mother in law likes caps, which I can't stand either.
She may have some others, but that is all I can think of.

I loved the way my dad smelled when he came home from work when I was a kid. He would wear a suit, tie, and jacket everyday and he would let me walk around in his jacket after work so I could smell it up!

I miss that smell.
