I picked my keets up today, they're super cute, but I didn't get much of an assortment. I think they're all Pearl Grey Guineas, but thats okay. Now I don't have to worry about mixing colors/types

All 15 are very active and appear to be healthy.

Adorable,how they turn so oogly ill never know.. just remember to keep feet clean n dry as well as rest as a guy who bred them said that's main reason they perish up to couple of weeks old. I've raised a lot of quial in past and said a lot alike in rearing . i kept a low set heat pad under tank or wrapped partly around,i use ten gallon fish tanks as brooders for bantams n quial, finding it works better for taming and all around, "hot rock" wrapped in washcloth, and a 75 watt lamp on them, with folded small gauge hardware cloth as grate, and paper towl over grate for first days till soils.

Hmm, I'd never heard about keeping their feet dry. I did end up putting some marbles in the waterer since they seemed to just have to step in it. They have a 250 watt bulb in their brooder (which is very large) and lots of straw to bed down in. There is hardware clothe under the straw, so it should stay nice and dry in there. They're all running around like little crazies today and they're nice and quiet, so I'm assuming they're happy in there. When I first put them in their brooder, and dipped all of their beaks in the water, I thought I might go deaf. VERY loud little things!

And, my husband said the same thing "they're really cute, how in the world do they end up so darn ugly?". He looked really surprised when I opened the box, like he was expecting them to look like little vultures or something

I really like them a lot. They're already eating out of my hand and they'll jump onto my arm and hang out there for a little bit. They also like to peck my dogs nose, which she didn't seem to appreciate one bit

Well my LGD pups are coming along good, odd their new den moved to was were two scovy hens and a cock had started nesting in..as now the scovy and dogs share the nest and scovy have become protective of pups and preen and try to brood. lol
my young male even takes on other scovy or stands over hissing when more aggressive males seem to want to taste and carry them off etc.

the ducks eat the puppy poo and any bugs on or around. The puppies have discovered that ducks are magical and if their buts are nosed and licked "treats" pop out. ewww...

my silver scovy hen also stole five chicks, and before that a nest of chicken eggs.

most of a nest of my bantam Americana hatched, with two eggs to go!

Was goigoing up a side road by us close to the briarwood safari park, and a floxk of guinea and some young came out of woods and stood right in road in front of GFs truck. these were so quiet oddly, like mime dwarves.

Does anyone have a young splash silkie cockerel for sale?or maybe you have one you can't use for free! Either way I have 3 white pullets that I would like a cockerel for. The pullets are 17 weeks old so I would want one pretty close to that age if I can get it.
