This is a serious question. Can you feed aquarium snails to chickens? I figured that I have a ton and their shells would have calcium. Is there reasons why I shouldn't ?

The only chemicals I used in the tank was that water purifying stuff to remove chlorine so it's safe for fish. The snails have been eating algea and they used to eat fishfood when I had fish in the tank too

Water purifying stuff probably isn’t the best for chickens to digest, as snails absorb a lot of water from their surroundings.

Snails would probably be fine for them to eat but any chemicals in the tank can enter the chicken, enter the eggs the chicken lays, and then both you and your chickens would be ingesting chemicals not meant for consumption by chickens or humans.
