Snake in the chick cage, killed two, one eaten. SO MAD *picture added*

We have a lot of big black snakes around our property. Just how big a chicken can they eat? My RIR's are outside, the thinking being that they were big enough but now I'm worried. They're about seven or eight weeks I guess.

That would be a drag.
I love snakes and all native wildlife. I'm in the burbs but we have lots of species here.
That said, I'm going out right now and block the little gap under the brooder house door.
