SNAKE!!!(now a dead snake) Snake lovers, don't look.

Yep,king snakes do the same , another good reason not to kill every snake you see.

Those blacksnakes will kill your copperhead also.

Found this where my 18 month old grand daughter plays.

Reading about all these snakes reminds me of when I was a drill sergeant at Fort Leonard Wood back in the sixties. Another DI that I fished with was terrified of snakes and carried a six shot revolver loaded with bird shot. We were fishing on of the rivers in the area from a brand new boat we rented from a local marina. This was back in the days before level floatation was required for boats so if a boat got a hole in it it sank. As we drifted downstream we banged into an overhanging branch and a large cottonmouth fell from a limb fell onto my friends shoulder. Slowly the snake slithered down and into the bottom of the boat and up and over the seat and into the center section. As soon as it was in the center section my friend jumped up and emptied his gun at the snake. When the water level inside and outside was the same, the snake swam away unscathed. We had to walk 5 miles back to the marina and my friend bought himself a boat with six holes in the bottom.

Here are the bullets I used(of course mine were for a .357mag). I would highly recommend them to anybody who needs something for snakes.
