SNAKE!!!(now a dead snake) Snake lovers, don't look.

Anyone here taking the time to relocate ants from your kitchen counter?

If not, what's the difference? Its still life to be revered is it not?

Just because someone takes life from time to time does not mean they don't respect life and we can't domesticate everything.

Given the chance nature will take over every bit of your home, every bit of everything for that matter.

Like every living thing we are just carving out our niche in the jungle. Granted we have the tools to carve out a very large niche and should use those tools with all of the wisdom and tolerance we can muster, but its still just nature doing its thing as we make our lives.

Maggots serve a useful purpose in removing decayed animal and vegetable tissue. Think about that next time you swat a fly.

Well deerman (

), and other snake fanatics I was trying to move the same grass snake that was in the coop yesterday and it got aggressive on me. Sorry guys but Mr. Snake met Mr. Hoe.

OK, I gotta say that snakes freak me out. Doesn't help, I guess that I am unfamiliar with them, being from Hawaii.
anyways, I LOATHE rats (no rabies in Hawai'i, so kinda paranoid about it), so I put up with the snakes that i see in my yard. I prefer the rat snakes and bull snakes that I find (not sure if those are the proper names) but i leave the rattlers alone as well.
If i found a copperhead however, I'd call someone to relocate it.

anyways, i thought these pics were pretty cool.
A big black snake eating what looks to be a rattle snake.

I hope this doesn't tick anyone off. I know some people have some strong opinions about killing vs. relocating vs. leaving things be.

I just thought these were really neat pics!

I think that is actually a blue indigo. We had them in South Texas. Awsome snake and very pretty. That was a snake all the country folks wanted around their places. Saw old farmers slam on the brakes on the highway to catch them and transport them home!

Stepped on one once...I had a gun but was so scared when it struck me I just ran...warm wet pants will do that to you
