SNAKE!!!(now a dead snake) Snake lovers, don't look.

Naww, I have my walker dragon loaded with snake shot, if the shot don't get him the 6 foot flames will. As soon as I find a extra barrel I'm going to shorten it to 4 inches and bore out the rifling(legal on black powder).

You must also be a terrific shot to have hit a slithering target that slender.

Well, one less chicken thief in the world, huh?

Not really, although I would like to take credit for being a good shot, I cant. The shells I used were like a shotgun and have small pellets instead of a single "slug". When you shoot it, the pellets spread out.

So it would be harder NOT to hit it if you are within 10 feet.

Just to update:
I haven't seen any more copperheads since this one, although I'm sure there plenty around. I did however find a six and a half foot long king snake in my coop. I almost soiled myself. I know they do good things but he had to go. Sorry.

I just can't help it, he snuck up on me and didn't give me time to see if he was a "good" snake or a "bad" snake. Please don't hate me for it.

Exactly! Last year I killed a timber rattler on my back porch... it was 4 feet 10 inches long. Not the kind of thing you want to find when you step out the back door.

Ok, I have to admit, that green tree snake is pretty. I probably wouldn't kill that, but then, I don't have any chicks or keets for it to eat. Though it looks like it probably couldn't eat anything bigger than a day-old keet. It would probably make me jump out of my skin upon first spotting it still.

That garter snake sure looks mad

And your dog is adorable!

I didn't have to kill this copperhead. The chick mafia took care of it all by themselves. They killed it then ate it.
