Drill a 1" hole between the nests about at snake level. Close the nest box bedding. Once the snake eats an egg and tries to leave or investigate another nest he'll get stuck.

I'm going to kill it because it bites my hens necks when they try to protect their eggs. Honestly they have a field to eat mice and that's where they belong not my chicken coop. They have eaten a whole nesting box full of eggs that chicks were on day 19 going to hatch so I really am on the fence about what to do.Should not kill black snakes or king snakes...they kill and eat ..........the poison guys.
But won't they hurt chickens too?
