Sneezing bunny

Snuffles is the common term for a respiratory virus in rabbits, if you google it you should come up with some treatment plans. It's very common in rabbits and they've found a lot of them have natural anibodies for it, but some don't.

I had a Netherland Dwarf start sneezing frequently, then he got mucus, he got steadily worse and worse over a few months until he could barely breathe.

I tried every treatment under the sun, but his was viral and he finally died from it. The Holland Lops on either side of him appeared immune to it, they didn't get sick at all.

Just an update....I called our vet and he gave us Baytril for him, 2x a day for 10 days. I just ran in and picked up the rx, no charge, gotta love that!

He said bring him in in 10 days if he's not better. Just to keep an eye on the eating & drinking, that he should improve!

Oh good!

Rabbits have delicate digestive systems and sometimes antibiotics will give them diarrhea, so watch for that and be ready with some probiotics and oatmeal.
