Don't really know if it is sneezing for sure but what ever it is, it sounds like tiny wet sneezes. No runny nose, nothing wrong by the looks of the Chick and the breathing sounds fine.

Any ideas or suggestions???

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

How often does she sneeze? Chicks sneeze a lot because they are molting and all that feather dust gets up the nose. Bedding can cause a lot of dust as well in a small brooder.

As long as these are dry sneezes, I wouldn't be too concerned. If the sneezes turn wet, then there is a problem.

Good luck with your chicks and welcome to our flock!

Thank you!

They do sound like wet sneezes, to me.. It's about every few minutes. The chick is maybe.. 4 or 5 weeks old. None of the others are doing it. The chick is doing normal chick things, like eating, drinking, running around.. Ect.

I only have ripped up newspaper in there right now, I have not made it back to the store for more bedding! Could that be the problem??

I would get them off newspaper. It is slippery and babies can pull a tendon or something.

As for the sneezing, it could be the feed is dusty. Many feeds are. I would say as long as this birds nose is not wet, there isn't much to worry about. A wet sneeze would indicate a bacterial or viral infection. Dry sneezes are usually some irritation to the sinus's. Just keep an eye on him and see if the sneeze turns wet. This chick will probably improve once out of the brooder.

Thank you, so much! I had no idea about the paper!! I have heard that it was fine, for just a couple of days. :( Just sent my husband to the store for bedding!

I sure do hope my lil chick-a-dee is okay! Loves my little critters!!!!!
