Hello :) I am new to chicken keeping. We have had 2 silkies for about a month now. A few days ago I noticed a yellow dry mucus at the end of one or their nostrils (sorry I don't know any technical terms) she doesn't have anything coming from her mouth, and seems fine other than the odd snuffle (maybe a sneeze) when she is digging around in dustier corners - eating and drinking - can anyone advise?

Is she old snuffling around dust? Is your other hen still fine?
Hello thank you!! As far as I'm aware she is young we bought at POL.. A week ago she got into a dusty corner of our garden (which we have now cleaner up) she loved sitting in it but I wondered if that caused it. Since cleaning it her nose still hasn't changed, the other chook is absolutely fine as well - other than the gunky nose she's acting completely normal!? (We are dabbing it every other day just to clean it a little and it's not in her mouth)
