(and the few of them that DID come out only did so after I shoveled a path). I feed in the yard so hopefully they will be inspired to venture out. Time to hang the feeders inside again. Can't wait for spring and the days start getting longer tomorrow!!!

Went to barn after dark and checked the buckets chickens get in during day to lay eggs(not supposed to be nests but...) and 1 of the 7 month old BA pullets was bunkered down for the night in a bucket. Obviously she had decided going thru the snow to get back to chick shed was not an option. Their food was not all gone either. NOT normal. Will have to make sure there are paths shoveled to barn in morning. brats.

We had the storm come through Wednesday night/Thursday morning. Got about 3" of snow and my birds also refused to come out in the morning - finally did so today. I had ended up just moving their food and water into the coop and they tore into it. I think it was their first snowfall and they were just intimidated by it.
