How funny we had a dusting on the ground this morning, we took the tarp off our run yesterday as it was shading the sun from getting into the coop windows, so I opened their door this morning and WHAT a FLAP - they all crowd around and I opened, they did their usual - I"M FIRST dive to get out and then stopped short - the girls still inside pushing to get out the ones who FELL out trying to turn and get back in - it was FUNNY!
THe little rooster however, MARCHED out - head held HIGH - and the girls all soon followed him!

Snowed here today too and since I've lived in the deep South my whole life it was a rare and blessed event to awaken to.

My girls normally free range but I haven't let them out of coop yet and they are squawking away. Guess I'll go let them out and see what they do.
