snowshoe silkies

Hey! So we're chicken keepers in Alaska, and this summer we came by some Silkie chicks. They are not fully grown yet. Now it's nice and warm right now, but we've heard that silkies don't do well in the cold. Will they survive the winter, provided with a warm but slightly cramped shelter?

Cramped shelter? That could cause pecking and fighting. Ive never had silkies so I'm unfamiliar with their cold tolerance.
