I got a story....
The mayor of the town Justice, in IL, accidentally let out his two exotic birds (they look like parakeets that are green with red chests), and they flew to the park in town. They mated and now there's about 100 of them causing a huge ruckus. I worked at justice's summer camp the past two summers and these huge crazy looking bird were so loud in the park, sometimes you couldn't hear the kid's talking to you across the playground. The mayor got a lot of guff for not clipping his birds!
Clipping is not hard to do at all. If you are raising them as pets, just keep an eye on them when they are first growing their feathers. You shoud handle them alot so you can catch them to clip them. Just use a pair of scissors and take the ends off the primary flight feathers on one side.
