So… is this a wild or escaped/set free/ domestic rabbit?

Pics
A really big tote for the hutch/indoor area, separate from the run/pen. Insulated during winter? (The tote). I saw it on a YouTube video I think. They cut 2 holes so the BABBIT could enter and exit as it wished, and it had all the stuff required inside.

No cat litter, got it.

I could get tiles and cover them with some kind of rug

is there anyway i could implement the kennel/cage I showed? (I think that’s wat you were referring to)
I don't see how a tote would work well. Predators, or the rabbit could chew through it.

This is a good sized enclosure for up to 2-3 rabbits, if that helps you visualize the size. Notice how it can easily fit a large litter box, toys, hides, and still leave room for exercise and play.

I'd frame out sonethibg of that size, but a bit taller. To make bonding and cleaning easier, you'll want it to be tall ebiugh that you can sit in there with them.
This outdoor enclosure houses 4 rabbits.

yeah, i figured the tote might not be the best. Large dog house? (also prob no lol)

i could possibly make something like the pen in the first pic, should i fit the hutch in it too? or outside of the rectangle/shape of the pen?

Rabbits sometimes like to sit inside something where they feel hidden.

If you have a predator-proof pen, it should be fine to put a plastic tote inside it, for the rabbit to hide in. Although you could also use a cardboard box (replace it when it gets soggy or chewed), or a wood box, or a doghouse, or quite a few other options.

But a plastic tote that is separate from the pen would not be safe from predators.

I would not bother insulating anything for a rabbit.
Rabbits need dry conditions, with good ventilation but no wind whistling through.

It works better to add hay or straw inside the box/house/tub for the rabbit to snuggle in cold weather, rather than trying to insulate any other way.

Ok :O

yeah, it could easily be breached

no insulation? Ok ✅

Probably gonna use straw for that : D

Does anyone still get alerts for this thread? :p
(lol)

BABBIT ate some of the hay I gave it. Small amount, yes, but it’s a start I guess
