So addicted! Set eggs 10/14/11! Who's my buddy?

My area is extremely dry this time of year so I had to add alittle bit of water to my trays to keep it in the 30% zone. I won't allow a drop below 25 % tho.

I also try to stick to around 40% humidity here. Its really hard to monitor humidity for a dry hatch here in PA because it can go from dry to humid back to dry all in 1 day sometimes with our wierd weather. I live near the lake and we do get some wierd weather.

I put 36 more eggs in the Bator tonight. Candled a few shipped eggs, the only one I threw out had been cracked and I sealed it with wax but it was a quitter. I sold 38 chicks today. The one person wanted 50 RIR but I did not have that many! So he got 33 assorted chicks and the other lady got 5.

That's so frustrating! I had a shipment running late last week and our carrier had already delivered the mail. I called the post office and they called our mail carrier who promptly brought them by. I'm not sure where he was taking them but sure glad they delivered them.

I hope yours get located asap!

I bought a roo and some eggs from catdance (and shes awesome btw great doing business with) she mailed them together (2 different boxes of course) and my post office got my roo to me asap and left my eggs in sioux falls (like 6 hours away from me in their sorting room!) Or so they thought! Then on my way to work they "found" my missing eggs! So I was late for work and not a happy camper! I was so worried about them! Hope you get yours soon!

Okay I guess I am going to join you all. I will be setting eggs tomorrow the 15th. I will continue adding eggs for a few more days. I had to get rid of my roo, today. So maybe something will hatch, because DH caught him doing the deed with the girls. I am expecting EE's, if anything hatches. Homer the roo was very young, and had only learned to really crow in the last week. That is why he had to go. I just wish I wasn't stuck in a sub-division house in the city.

We just started a poultry club today we have 20 members so far. We are looking to challenge our city laws about chickens. Currently they are not banned BUT you MUST own/live on 3 acres of property if you want any chickens at all.which is lame.who really owns 3+ acres in a city? I'm lucky to have a backyard!

I have to keep my girls at my moms house because she lives 15 miles out of town.
