Where are you located? I am able to have chicken in my city. I live in Washington State. I don't expect to have any troubles as long as the neighbors are cool with the birds. I do have more than I should.

But I talked the the neighbors today, and so far there are no objections to my having a roo.

I just wished that I had asked them before I sent Homer to the auction.

I must say I wouldn't mind having 3 acres in town.

I live in south dakota. You were to think since the majority of land here is still rancher/farmer owned that we could have chickens but nope. We have a few rich guys that live out of town that still makes complaints so it won't happen.

That just bites an elf. Now I think that those guy are overbearing, control freak jerks. Good thing I live far away. I hope that you will be able to more out of town and get to live with your chickens soon.

Okay I am just tickled that I haven't forgotten to turn the eggs yet.

The new motor should be here tomorrow or Friday.

I don't have problems with this stage... I basically forget they are there except when I think to check the temp and humidity. But once the eggs go into lockdown, my fingers start itching to be in there too!! *slaps hands*

15 of 20 clearly fertile, and 5 are infertile, but i'll wait til day 10 to be sure. I have 4 splash and 3 are the duds, so i'm thinking its the splash eggs rather than anything. I think they probably weren't fertile to begin with.

I usually try again on 7 or 8. I have also learned the meaning "don't count your chickens till they hatch" I always guess wrong lol. Good luck! Happy Hatching!
