So all I had to do was buy a house.lol.coop is done update on page 8

I'm going to paint it for 3 reasons...

1- Because the boss said do! hahahaha. The wife made it a requirement that the coop looks good...so I figured paint would help.

2 - (and least important if you asked her) I live in Florida.....HUMIDITY to the extreems!!! So the paint will help "seal it" therefore extending the life of the wood (I hope)

3 - I think it would be easier to clean if the wood is sealed...

It all looks fantastic! I just have one question... where is the brooder full of baby chicks? You know you don't have to have the coop done before buying babies, they need the brooder first...

hahaha I'm an over achiever!? lol I've seen how people get all stressed and cut corners building a coop since the chicks get big fast so I wanted to take my time and do it right (well right for a total noob not only to chickens but to building...ANYTHING! lol)

Saturday I will be going to a swap and picking up 5 or 6 chicks..so far FLchickens has an OE, EE and a Marans for me...I hope to find BO/BR or maybe even Leghorn or Delaware....worse come to worse my local store has EE and RIR right now

No kidding!! Is actually 7 lol...based on what I seen here I figured we'll end up with a few roos...we really want 4 or 5...worse come to wrose I do have a quick way of extending the run already...I will have 8' worth of roost and is an open coop...so they really can move around at all times so I can fit 6 there no problem!
