So angry at My Pet Chicken I could scream!!!

That's awful! I have ordered from my pet chicken several times and never had bad service, but then again I have never had to change my order. This is good to know and I will not order from them in the future!

My sister and i used to always order from my pet chiken until...........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................half of the chiks died we called themand they said cold.they had a nice heat lamp and it was march.now she orders from murray mc murray.

Glad you were able to do it.

I would still send them one more angry email letting them know you're telling everybody how much they suck.

I've never ordered from My Pet Chicken and probably wouldn't anyway just because I am happy with Meyer hatchery in Ohio. However, I would love to see a response from My Prt Chicken on this. Certainly no offense to anyone but there is usually two sides to every story. I don't know anything about them but when a business is being bashed so publicly on an open forum, it would only be fair for them to be able to defend themselves. If the story really is as it has been told, then they deserve to lose some business. Just my opinion.

My Pet Chicken is just a middle man and has Meyer Hatchery (among others) send the chicks directly to the customers. In my opinion this only creates more opportunity for confusion, miscommunication and exactly the kind of mishaps that the OP described. I prefer to order from Meyer directly and my experience with them has only been excellent.

Exactly. Just a broker or a shopping service. Now, there are two parties involved to make a mistake. Changing an order mid-stream is another way to have things screwed up, especially when using a middle man.

I had a similar experience, I had ordered Dominique hens/roosters well in advance of ship date. They called me the day before ship date to tell me there were no hens available, they had my roosters and can they substitute some other breed hens. I was like... I wanted these since they are a rare heritage breed to hatch out several, why would I want other hens. They did cancel and refund for me thankfully. Sorry you had a bad experience!
