Hey all you so cal chicken lovers I have found myself in a little delima. I have an incubator I love, a hovabator. Well, I got a little carried away bidding on eggs and forgot I bid on a lot of 24 purebreds. My bator will be full thats WITHOUT the 24 I forgot about. Is there anyone locally who would share their incubator with me and I would be more than happy to share the babies. Free, free, free, just share your bator and Ill share my babies! I will even leave you some kind of collateral if it makes you feel more secure.

Sorry, I am not near you or I would take you up on it.
Do you have some sort of county extension service that might lt you borrow one?
A broody hen perhaps?
I would, as a last resort even ask around at your local feedstore.
Alot of times the people there hatch and raise chickens of their own and maybe they could help you out.
Good luck with it.

I live in wine country Temecula but work in Corona. Ill drive if I need to. My husband will kill me if I buy nother bator...

What kind of eggs we talkin' here? Might make a difference. I have a bator with a handful of "who cares" kind of eggs in them that I might be able to redistribute amongst some broodies... depends. what you got coming? Mine does not have a fan, btw. Has only been used one time before for a hatch, and has a turner and an Accurite digital humidity and thermometer gauge, plus an old fashioned big ol' thermometer too, just in case, and I live in Riverside, off Pierce St. exit.

It is my mille fleur cochin roo. He hatched late March this year. He was still a baby then, this is what he looks like now. He already has some babies hatched, out of mottled hens! I think there are ten of them. Anyhow, the one in my avatar is this boy, four months ago.
