so, does anyone else..

yep, they are so cute! i have no clue what they are..but they are hilarious! they are in the awkward stage, so to speak.
they keep popping their ugly little heads up to see what we are doing

Well, not in the house, but about 40 feet from the house is the new meatie coop with 29 week old chicks in a brooder. The weekend after they were delivered, our temps plummeted and we've had rain/hail/snow

ever since! DH was prepared for the brooder being moved into the dining room or spare bedroom if I couldn't get the temp in the brooder up high enough. Two 250 watt infrared heat lamps seem to be doing the job nicely of keeping the brooder warm enough.

I just moved mine out. They were 7 weeks old and the dust. OH!!!!!!!!! I miss them so. I feel lost too. I can barely wait till Spring to get some beautiful younguns from speckledhen. Humm now lets increase the size of the run, clean the>>>........... Dreamming is nice but I still miss the little ones. My hb told me today HE did not miss them. sigh...... this spring. Yeh!!! Jean

We have three brooders in the storage room off of the kitchen-one full of ducklings (12 of them-1 month old), two full of Langshan chicks (14 of them-6 weeks old).

In the kitchen we have two brooders-both with Serama chicks (5 of them-2 weeks old) and the other with (2 of them-4 days old).

What is a kitchen without chicks on the counter????

is that even an option? i thought kitchens came standard with chicks on the counter now...

(we have 56 cuties in the kitchen! unless Buff Hooligans stole 25 EE's!)

Brooders are what the spare bedroom is for! I only have two aquarium brooders inside right now, I was able to sell most of my chicks! I have two black tailed white japanese, two seramas, and two silkies in one aquarium, and a duckling and two silkies in the second one. I'm not allowed to incubate any more until spring...but when spring rolls around I should have enough money to buy some different hatching eggs!

Mine are in the kitchen. The island in the middle. I would have them in my bedroom but my husband is already gripping about the cost and they " aren't giving " yet

I had to laugh. But to be honest he likes them as much as I do.
