My 4 month nameless white leghorn hen gave me my first egg this morning!!!! Was small but perfectly formed with a hard shell. So proud of my chicky babies!

And it's reminding me, man, I'd better build our chicks their nesting boxes this weekend!!!

Lol have a box used the golf ball too, but she decided the floor of the coop looked like a better location!!! Hopefully the other girls will start soon too. Cannot wait!!!!

Well congratulations!

Our nesting boxes are about one-two feet off the ground so we're hoping they use them as opposed to the ground. The roosts are much higher. All our 'laying' pullets are about the age to start laying soon. I need to put those plastic Easter eggs I bought on clearance after easter inside those boxes now.

Nice boxes mine are temporary so they are milk crates for now. We are building some permanent ones this week. Still very excited about it all. Boys keep saying will she lay 2 tomorrow lol.
