So excited, hen has been sitting for 15 days

6 days already wow, they are so precious I bet your enjoying them. I hope mamma isn't too upset not being able to take them outside. Has she had them out at all? temps still really cold?

I’m loving them!! They wake us up everyday around 7:30-8am which is fine till it’s the weekend no they’ve not been out at all yet, it’s bitterly cold here but maybe next week. I’ve got their coop/shed all built and almost finished being painted :) should I feed them brewers yeast? Or are they too young?

Yes I would give them brewers yeast 1 Tablespoon per cup of feed. That will help keep their legs strong. Unless your feeding duck starter.

Hope you'll share pics of your finished coop it's always nice to give others ideas.

Hello, finished my coop, what do you think? I just need a run, got to buy one online.

They will need some chick grit to eat anything besides their starter. Once they are outside they should find their own grit tiny stones, sandy soil etc

You never annoy love sharing info and experience. :)

We lost our Dot yesterday. We think Myrtle accidentally stood on her. My mother was distraught as she was her favourite one. I’m absolutely gutted. We buried her and I’m going to grow some lavender where she is. We are also going to name the ducks house after her.

On a brighter note, I made the best purchase today in the form of a child’s sand pit/waddling pool for the babies and they had their first real swim with mama. So proud they are learning fast. Jemima is still not happy about the entire situation but I’m sure he’ll come around. We have to give him plenty of fuss :)

I am so sorry about Dot. Accidents happen it still doesn't make it hurt any less though.:hugs

They look to be really enjoying their swim such a nice pool you found for them. They are so precious including mom.

Is that lil Dot in the water bowl? such a sweet lil one.

Hopefully Jemima will not be too upset about the ducklings once they move outside as long as he gets his Myrtle back :fl

Thanks for the sweet update.
