So fellow addicts , whats in your bator .... Update on my eggs page 14

[Yard full o' rocks]

I told my wife that this was the cheapest "mid life crisis" she could have hoped for me to have....I didn't buy that $20k Harley, or the $50k convertible.....just a couple of 'bators, some eggs and a little mess here and there.

Probably a hundred total. I am doing one more Standard Cornish hatch and that's it till fall. ....I swear....I can quit anytime I want to...

Six bourbon red turkey eggs
And the second generation of Partridge and Barred/PR mixes.

Then I'm supposed to stop. But there are also 18 more of those same eggs under two broodies.

I can stop any time I want to. Really.

It might actually be a good thing that the fox ate the turkey hens. I'm two pens behind as it is. (I DID NOT ADMIT THAT.)

hehe...Mine arent as exciting as most that have posted, but oh well

here it goes..

I have:

36 White Leghorn (my own)
3 sexlink/lakenvelder (mine too)
12 barnyard mix - local farmer
12 guinea - local farmer (soon to be more if these hatch well!)
15 ameraucanas - someone who breeds them...somewhere in NH

Also working on getting some turkey eggs...

I really want some bantams to add to this!! (hint hint to anyone local who wants to sell pure breed bantams?...I'm partial to frizzles and brahmas

)

I have all surprises! so far I have 7 1/2 hatching and only lost 1 after it pipped. I have three turkey eggs, some banty surprises, EE surprises, Black Giant surprises, um...RIR surprises, Barred rock surprises and buff surprises. I say surprises because I don't have a matching roo to ANY of my hens. Although, one of the ones that hatched looks like a barred rock, So i'm hoping it's a Barred Rock/Domnique cross. I also have a Banty Top hat who's hatched. Cute little sucker!
