I want to get a couple pet ducks next spring. What do you think about the pekin duck as a pet? Are drake nice? Straight runs are cheaper but I'd be willing to pay more if you think the females would make better pets.

I love the look of pekins... but I will never own them. The only ones I ever saw were noisey.

I have a couple of muscovies and am very happy with them. They are calm. Not very noisey at all.

I have heard that sweedish ducks are nice to have because they are friendly.

I love Bumble, but he's not the friendliest guy Don't get me wrong, he's a great drake, but he prefers to protect his girls than get close to me.
