I'm so glad that I learned from this forum to use strong hardware cloth against predators.

I went out this morning at barely daylight to make coffee and heard dogs barking. I looked out and there were two of those small-medium, fluffy, yappy sorts of dogs harassing my chickens, running around the walls of both Neuchickenstein and the brooder.

It could have been a bloodbath!

x2 glad your chickens were safe! Last week my wife and kids saw a large bobcat trying to claw its way into our coop in the afternoon when they were about 150ft away playing catch; my wife said it jumped up about 5ft off the ground and was hanging off the hardware cloth while clawing
