So Grossed Out!!!!

Yeah - what she said, except my toast is made from worthless white bread!

I eat my eggs fried, scrambled, deviled, or in cakes, cookies, custard, homemade mayo...

chickensducks&agoose :

I can't eat them if I think about it. When we first started getting eggs, I had to mix them into storebought eggs in the cartons, so i wasn't sure what I was getting... now I can cook and eat our homegrown eggs, but if i overthink it, i get all gaggy too. blech.

I felt funny about eating my homegrown eggs, too - for about the first week! But it didn't bother me the way you meant; I felt bad because when I'd go out and collect eggs, the girls all came over and watched me and "told me all about it", and I felt like I was stealing!

Now I just toss them a couple of handfuls of oatmeal or something and pick up the eggs while they're busy eating!

I love eggs however sometimes after i eat them i get nauseous. Not all the time but sometimes.

When i was a kid i only liked runny yolks but now it grosses me out. Once at a friends house her mom made eggs and they were sunny side up....EWWWWWWW I could not eat those. That is just too runny for me.

I have been having a horrible day, our 8 year old German Shorthaired Pointer may have lung cancer so I'm all red eyed and moppy but this thread made me laugh....I can eat everything (except runny whites) but I really got a kick out of this one.

THANKS!!!!!

i believe strongly in well cooked eggs. Anything wet, or runny, or yolky makes me hork. I cook both sides of my omlettes, where some people just allow the cheesy inside to be a bit 'wet' ICK! And i don't think you should eat bambi's mom unless tofu gets made illegal. just my opinion.

Thanks CK Chickadilly - The specialist wants to do surgery to remove the "thing" on her lung on Monday. It may or may not be cancer but there is something there. I hate to put her through the surgery, it could be the beginning of the end or make her better. I have a lot of decisions to make over the next couple of days.
But, I don't want to change this thread to my problems....just wanted to say thanks to everyone for making me laugh.
I love this site!!!

Since you're in the north and talking about eating grits I feel it is my civic duty to inform you that you can not eat grits with sugar, you must eat them with salt when combining eggs as missprissy describes.

Good eating too!
