"pinched" I go and sneak in and place my hand in and grab 2 eggs for my chocolate cake, once only and they were good!!!!

Thank you so much. How much do ducks usually cost. I want 2.

Depends on where you buy them! They can be anywhere from 2.00 each up to 5.00 each... and that is for ducklings... you will pay more for larger ducks! Where are you located??? You might want to put up a wanted post to let others know you are interested in buying some.

green ones sure are pretty.... have snuck some into my brothers eggs he gets from me just to mess with his head usually I get a phone call him laughing asking ok what is this he doesnt mind duck eggs actually prefers them says they have more flavor (duck eggs in general not just the green the ones just to clarify) i tried one once but didnt like it too much but they are great for baking.

How big are duck eggs? Do ducks only lay when they want to hatch out babies? Can you tell I know nothing about ducks?

Duck eggs are a little bit larger then say a double yoker chicken egg. And they lay often not just to set them they are great for baking and those who are allergic to chicken eggs can actually eat duck eggs I have customers who prefered the duck eggs because the chickens just didnt sit well with them. Mine lay throughout the winter as well but then again the are indoors during the cold months along with my turkeys and geese and the chickens all nice and toasty.

Simplcitiy, did you clean your duck eggs for your customers? Do you put a light coating of oil on the egg after washing it, like you do with chicken eggs? How much did/do you sell them for? Just currious.
Talk you soon.... Tes

I usually dont have to clean my chicken eggs I use straw in the nests and changed it often that way if I feel like incubating I dont have to pick through to find the cleanest eggs. With the ducks eggs of course they make a disgusting mess of their eggs so I am forced to clean them and I coat them with Ke-Peg oh and I sell them for 3.50 a dozen

for those interested in this product here is the link

I do not clean my chicken eggs either unless messy... and I get a couple of those occasionally. I was told when I have to... to put oil on them. That is why I was asking if I can just put oil on the duck eggs like I do the chicken eggs.

I like that stuff you suggested though and thanks for the link!
