So today, even though we have 20 people coming for Thanksgiving and we are hosting, I worked on the coop. Got all four doors hung (Hinges and everything.) Ramp completed and that took most of the day. (Everything takes so much longer then I plan for.)It's about 5:00 now and so the light is gone. Tomorrow I have to get cooking...so much for my lofty goals of having the birds out of the house before the guests descended upon us. Oh well...Somebody may have to sleep in the same room with 'em and one of them recently started crowing.

Makes for that authentic and rustic country feel, right?

Well Thanksgiving is over, and it isn’t raining so hopefully I will get back on the project tomorrow when the kiddos in school. Power tools are an extra concern with kids around. I keep them locked up until I’m alone.
Think I’m going to build the run area out of wooden pallets tomorrow. Need to find three more. Hmmmm

Also need more hardware cloth. Wish I could find a better price on it. Anybody know where to get wire fencing materials for less money?
