So i have a couple questions

So i have a hen she went broody yesterday shes has 7 of her own 4 of a bantam hen and one from my layer but she broke one of the bantam hen eggs Why ? Also i have a question if i candle an egg example and it was just layed is it normal for it to not have veins?

She probably stepped on the egg by accident when going out for food. You shouldn’t start seeing veins till day three.

Broken eggs are often a happy accident that results in being eaten. If it broke onto the other eggs it could have clogged some pores or cause other contamination issues.

All eggs NEED to be sat at one time to avoid staggered hatch. If you have other hens sneaking eggs in on her... you need to mark the set ones and remove any new deposits daily.
