I really really love my chickens. I am a newer chicken owner. Just got the 1st batch 3 1/2 months ago. Well, I read that they can give you salmanilla (I know I spelled it wrong) Is that really true? I just love them so much. I just wanta pick them up and kiss them!

So I have been careful so far and washed my hands real good after touching them.

So has anyone ever kissed their hens??? If so were you ok? Am I just over worried?

I'm more of a chicken nuzzler. I have a red cochin hen that just nuzzles my cheek, and i nuzzle her right back.

No diseases, but I did get a peck in the eye, so be careful!

I especially like kissing my rooster on his big, huge, comb.
