So I sprained my ankle...

i was always going over on my ankles twice ripped my tendons in my left and broken a bone in left foot, both wrists bad with pain finally aged 46 and after my daughter had been diagnosed i found out it was caused by joint hypermobility but not to worry as im getting older my joints are getting less flexible so shouldn't be a ongoing problem for much longer

Anyone know when a sprain should stop swelling and start healing? Day 3 and it's still huge and painful.

When the Princess fell down the cellar stairs it was over 2 weeks before she could put any weight on her ankle.

Hopefully you will heal faster. Are you still iceing the ankle? (She iced hers so much that she actually got frostbite.

I'm not icing it at all anymore. I was kinda thinking it was because I'm chasing a 1 year old around as well...but my toes are kinda starting to go numb...I'd really hate to have to go to the ER and admit my hubby was right.

You're telling me that you haven't been yet? You are as bad, no WORSE, than my wife. After actually falling down the stairs she drove to town to get a prescription for me- I had just had surgery. When she got home she had trouble getting to the house. To make a long story short, the EMT's came to get her. Cops came to make sure I hadn't pushed her down the stairs.

And our daughter came home to care for the two invalids. I'm with your husband: GO TO THE DOCTOR!

I hate doctors. If the swelling and such doesn't go down by tonight I will go after I my little one to sleep and hubby is home to listen for her. I don't want to take her to the hospital....there might be sick people there. =P

Well,I'm walking on it without that stupid brace thing they gave me, so good. Still a bit swollen, but that's gotten better too. Hurts like the dickens today, but no pain, no gain right? Thank you so much for asking!
