    My second 17-week old golden buff, Goldie (so named by my 8-year old niece)
    just laid her first egg this morning! In the nest. I caught her trying to bury it with straw.
    It's about 2/3 the size of a normal egg, and if it's anything like her sister's (which came yesterday), it will be delicious.
