I'm jealous! Those are some very nice looking Delaware hens! My first chickens were 3 Dellie hens and a roo. I had only 1 hen who looked as good as those, and she was the first to fall prey to the darn possum! The next best one was the next to go, and now we just have the smallest hen left, and she has barely any black on her, way too light feathered and thin bodied. And she lays medium sized eggs, not large, though they are a pretty, light pinkish tan.

Your cousing needs to get himself a good Dellie roo to breed those hens! It's very very rare to see nice breed standard Delawares!

(btw, that possum is gone. Dh and I took care of it.

They all look very happy and very well taken care of.
