So many chickens, so many choices. Usually there is more than one breed that will fit the bill. You have already mentioned you want your chickens for eggs. Other things to think of are temperatures in your area, both heat and cold. What color eggs do you want? Any particular color of chickens strike your fancy. Will they be free ranged or penned?
You can go to www.mypetchicken.com and answer some questions and they'll suggest some breeds based on your answers. You can also go to the breed forum here and read descriptions of the various breeds. Do you want all your chickens the same or do you want to try several breeds to see what becomes your favorite.
Probably some breeds will pop out at you that you just have to try.
Your breeds of choice might also be influenced by what your friends or neighbors have (They can tell you the pros and cons of their breeds.) and the ease with which you can obtain certain breeds.

That site is awesome! Already narrowed it down for me! Thank you so much and I will definitely be reading up on the breeds on here. They will be penned due to our city ordinance and egg color doesn't matter to me. Looks like I know what my weekend will consist of. Thank you so much for the help!
