Ha that is really good timing, I just build a page about broody hens on my site. Check it out! Short answer your chickens are fine, Mama should be kept separate for a few days. Personally here on the homestead I do not candle eggs. Eggs are picked up twice a day, sometimes a hen will get broody, and I may let her sit, depending on the time of year.
