My girls lay so many beautiful edible eggs. But, I can't even give them away, NO ONE wants them!

And we eat and cook with as many as we can.. Have resorted to scrambling and hard-boiling, and feeding them back to the girls..

What's wrong with people? These are organic, fresh, ranged eggs..

We live in Central Texas..

I am not sure I would put an ad on craigslist or local farm store maybe you can sell them that way. offer people 1/2 dozen free with a card with your number for ordering more. See if the local food bank would like some?

have you tried craigslist, the fleamarket, or the food bank.

I haven't tried it personally, but many posters take it to a market, flea or food, and list it as pet food since they don't have the proper paperwork to list it as organic eggs. If you made a sign that stated all the facts like fed organic feed, allowed access to range blah blah whatever you do then you could not only probably get rid of them you could possibly build a customer base.

Have you checked with people at the church you go to.???? I was buying eggs from a lady at our church up until my ducks started laying.. They had 50 or so hens and sold eggs for 2.25 a dozen.. I now only get them from her when the ducks stop laying. I have 3 chicks now so will have my own chicken eggs later in year..
She had alot of members who were buying from her.. she would bring then in egg cartons that she kept in cooler and we'd get them after church.. I also traded her sometime eggs for plants that I'd grown. that she needed a start of..
I haven't been selling my extra eggs I take a dozen each week to church and give them to a family who likes duck eggs.

Advertisimg and word of mouth.Work, church any place where people go.Farmers maket would be a good place also.Business cards[make your own] or flyers if you have a computer.Good luck.I just start raising mine and everybody wants eggs all ready!!! Kevin ps Good Luck!!!!

With my last flock, I was supplying our nuns with eggs. Now, we wait for our new flock to lay...but, check with your church..Here in Colorado, there are many dairies that do raw milk, and those customers love fr eggs...But, it's my understanding that raw milk does not happen in Texas..So, check around...do craigslist, farmers markets, etc..
