So many eggs!!!!

Today I came into the henhouse to check for eggs, and what did I see but 16 eggs!

We have 20 chickens, 4 occasional layers, and 16 full time layers!! all the full timers layed today!!! Before our record was 13 eggs, so I am SO happy!!!

Our record is 2 - one brown and one white. We got excited about that - I can't imagine getting 20!!

Nicely done- congratulations! Obviously, your birds are content and well-nourished and are rewarding you. We're very happy with our hens too, 22 weeks and producing an average of 11 eggs daily, though this may decrease with the approach of winter.

I know what you mean! When I gathered eggs yesterday I told the hens "You can start slowing down for winter anytime now".
I'm noticing more and more feathers in the coop the last couple of days. Maybe they'll moult and give me a break from trying to figure out what to do with all these eggs!

LOL I'm supplying eggs for our church camping trip. From my few ladies I had over 100 in the fridge.
