I've used electronic ultrasonic pest repellent devices in the past with success. This is one option you have. I use to place them around the feed storage barn back when we had large herds of cattle.

I'm not sure if it's a good idea around chickens or not though.

some cats will kill chickens but ive never had one do that. Mine wont get close after they get a chase down from a rooster once or a nice spanking from a very displeased chicken owner. If you have kittens, I put them in the coop an dmade mine grow up in it. Never did those touch a bird
