Hey folks , glad to be on this site. My wife and I are new to this. We have or should I say had 8 Aussie from 2 different batches . We thought they were all pullers but it looks like a rooster snuck in .... they are in a brooder together with proper food and water. We only left alive and this includes the male. Does pecking order start from hatchlings, what if anything are we doing wrong. I understand that this is a loaded question but we are open to any advice. Thanks Landon and Kathy

Welcome to Backyard Chickens. Hope you enjoy being here with us!

The pecking order does start at an early age. By the time they have their adult plumage, the pecking order will be well established.

Best wishes to you and your flock!
